Amaco No. 20 Versa Clay is extremely versatile with many uses for potters and in the classroom. Its superior plasticity allows Versa Clay to be used for all types of handbuilding and wheel throwing, and even paper-thin, hand-formed ceramic flowers may be shaped without cracking.
Bisque fire to Cone 04 (1971ºF, 1077ºC). The glaze firing range is Cone 06-5 (1855ºF-2205ºF), with a recommended glaze firing of Cone 05 (1911ºF). At Cone 04, expect 6.4% shrinkage and a bright white bisque. At Cone 02, pieces have a 6.1% shrinkage and the bisque is cream. This clay is not talc-free, but it is ACMI-approved for talc content. Versa Clay No. 20 has excellent plasticity that lends itself to all types of hand building, wheel throwing, can be press molded, and shaped paper-thin without cracking.
This 25 lb. box includes a 25 lb. block of clay in a polyethylene storage bag, so feel free to use the amount required and store the rest for future use. Clay in moist form presents no hazard.
