Amaco No. 29 Brown Stone Earthenware Clay formulated from several clays for plasticity and texture. Brown Stone Earthenware No. 29 is an excellent clay for all types of hand-building, slab work, extrusions, sculpture and wheel-throwing. Contains a fine grit that makes it stronger and easier to throw larger pieces.
It can be fired at Cone 06-5 (1855ºF-2205ºF). The recommended glaze firing is cone 05 (1911ºF). Any Amaco low-fire glazes work well on this earthenware body. Because of its wide firing range, Amaco high-fire glazes also achieve good results. This art clay is talc-free.
This 25 lb. box includes a 25 lb. block of clay in a polyethylene storage bag, so feel free to use the amount required and store the rest for future use. Clay in moist form presents no hazard.
