Each watercolor stick is dipped in a single layer of water-soluble paraffin wax for protection during transit and to protect your hands while working. To remove this thin outer layer of wax, rub the stick surface on a scrap piece of paper, or wash the stick with warm water, similar to removing paraffin wax from an apple. The tip of the watercolor sticks are ready for use out of the box.

Cerulean Blue - Cerulean Blue is a bright blue with green undertones and unlike other blues this one may shift to the cool, green side. This rich blue is ideal for the landscape or seascape palettes and under fluorescent light it may take on a violet cast. Cerulean Blue's name originated from the Latin Caeruleum meaning sky-blue pigment.
