Each watercolor stick is dipped in a single layer of water-soluble paraffin wax for protection during transit and to protect your hands while working. To remove this thin outer layer of wax, rub the stick surface on a scrap piece of paper, or wash the stick with warm water, similar to removing paraffin wax from an apple. The tip of the watercolor sticks are ready for use out of the box.

Indigo - Indigo is a deep blue color that may range from dark black to pale blue and it has a very dark, blackish-blue top tone with an earthy greenish-blue undertone that creates an edgy feel, ideal for line work.
