Each watercolor stick is dipped in a single layer of water-soluble paraffin wax for protection during transit and to protect your hands while working. To remove this thin outer layer of wax, rub the stick surface on a scrap piece of paper, or wash the stick with warm water, similar to removing paraffin wax from an apple. The tip of the watercolor sticks are ready for use out of the box.

Quinacridone Burnt Orange - Quinacridone Burnt Orange is a warm color and when added to French Ultramarine it creates dramatic sky washes with a gray-blue mix. This orange may be used to modify Sap Green in landscapes to produce rich, mossy greens that balances land with sky. This color was formerly known as Copper Kettle.
