Anne begins this workshop on the first day with an introduction to color and technique. On days two, three, and four, you will paint along with Anne following images that she provides. Subjects to be covered will be silver, cut crystal, flowers, fruit, vegetables, and people. Each day, there will be explorations into additional subjects such as composition, texture, dark backgrounds, using lettering, and gold gesso. There will be a critique and demo on the last day of the workshop.
Anne began painting in watercolor in 1992 with formal training in oil and a lifelong love of art. Through study and experimentation, her distinct style emerged and she continues to move in new directions, sharing this with her students. She is an acclaimed teacher with classes and workshops all over the US and Canada. Anne is chairman of the Education Dept. and board member at Art Center, Manatee. She is past president of the Florida Watercolor Society and Florida Suncoast Watercolor Society. Anne has won numerous awards locally and nationally. Her book, “Daring Color”, published by North Light, was their #1 Best Seller in 2008. She currently lives in Cortez, FL and Linville, NC.
