This workshop will be devoted on teaching you how to create dynamic paintings with emotion. Joe’s top priority will be to help you understand how values and colors work together. Learn how to compose and design your painting, control moisture, create movement, use vivid colors, dull a color, and add harmony and balance to your work. Joe offers several demonstrations per day, and you will be given different projects to work on during the week that help you understand how and why to use the principals of painting, and not paint by guessing! Joe sees his students as real people with real needs. There will be a lot of hard work and concentration in this class, but with Joe’s great sense of humor and unique teaching style, you will learn so much while learning to paint with true feeling. If you want a class where you can ask many questions and have lots of quiet painting time, this is the workshop for you. Joseph Fettingis was born in Germany, but grew up in a small town in South America. He is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society and has been painting watercolors for over thirty-five years. Joe has been featured in many publications including “American Artist” and “International Artist” magazines, as well as “Splash 6”, “Painting Color”, and the “Best of Watercolors 2”. He has also been published in many newspapers throughout the US, Canada and Puerto Rico. Arches Watercolor Paper Co. named Joe as a “Distinguished Art Educator”. Mr. Fettingis has been conducting workshops, large group demonstrations, and lecturing throughout the US and Canada for 20 years.
