Berry Hill Cottage - Rental For Workshops

Looking for a peaceful haven to escape after an exhausting day of painting? We have it!

When I travel away from boone to do a workshop, I am very piky about where I stay. Berryhill cottage would be my idea of the perfect place to lay my head when I'm away from home. It's quaint, picturesque, quite serene and clean as a bubble of soap. Its a great place to enjoy a walk, and is very close (5 min) to Cheap Joes.    ~Joe

Berryhill Cottage, located just a few minutes from Cheap Joe's Art Stuff, is a cozy location surrounded by the beauty that only nature can provide.

The mountain behind Berryhill Cottage is an excellent place to hike with a sketchbook tucked under your arm to capture the three hundred sixty degree view of the surrounding blue mountains. Or maybe you'd rather hike "down the road" toward the creek with a fishing pole where native brown trout and rainbow trout have been caught. On your way to the creek you'll enjoy the bank of moss covered rocks that are also a source of water coming from the mountain.

Huge maple trees in front of the cottage are an excellent canopy for the picnic table. In season, blueberry bushes can be picked for your morning fruit. Now how fresh is that! Or enjoy the bench in the garden surrounded by a twig arbor. Come up on the porch to enjoy the serenity of this mountain living. While sitting in the wicker chairs on the porch you will enjoy watching the butterflies or hummingbirds coming to draw nectar from the nearby clematis, butterfly bushes or other flowers.

Once inside you're greeted by the charm of the quaint living and dining room. The fully furnished kitchen is equipped with a full sized refrigerator, washer / dryer, gas range, microwave, dishwasher, coffee pot, toaster and blender. The kitchen also contains cookware, dishware and utensils needed for the week.

Just down the hall are the two bedrooms and bath. Each bedroom is fully furnished with a queen bed, towels, linens and ample storage for your week's clothing.

Policies

Occupancy / Pet Policy
Check-in is on Sunday at 3:00 PM.
Check-out is on Saturday at 10:00 AM.
Please Note: The date reflects the Sunday before the workshop begins on Monday. The cottage is available for occupancy on Sunday unless arrangements have been made prior to arrival.
No indoor smoking allowed. Please do not dispose of cigarettes on grounds or in driveway. NO pets of any description allowed. If a pet is found, all guests will be subject to immediate eviction without refund. No firearms are permitted on the grounds at any time. Maid service is not provided during your stay.

Payment Policy
Berryhill Cottage is rented on a weekly basis.
April - May is $499 per week plus tax.
June - November is $699 ($599 with workshop reduction) per week plus tax.
A 50% deposit is due to secure the cottage. Balance is due 30 days prior to arrival. A cancelled reservation within 30 days of arrival will result in the forfeiture of the deposit. A $25.00 processing fee applies to all cancellations outside of 30 days. No refunds will be made due to inclement weather or early departure.
Money order, cashier's check and personal check are accepted. Payment should be made payable to Lynda C. Miller and mailed to P. O. Box 1296, Boone, NC 28607.
