Watercolor Alla Prima With Limited Palettes
October 5 - 9, 2009, Boone, NC

In this workshop you will be using a limited palette of no more than five colors. Subjects covered will be wet into dry, composition, design, color mixing, color surprise, light to shadow, limited values, and direct painting without drawing. You will be painting from photo references and any subject matter may be painted in this workshop. Pat will be providing daily demonstrations, critiques, and individual attention.

Primarily self-taught, Pat Weaver is an international watercolor instructor traveling through the US, Italy, France, Mexico, the Bahamas, St. Thomas, and the Virgin Islands. Her workshops are very popular. She consistently receives high praise for her workshops and animal portraits. She is the author of the book and video: “Watercolor Simplified”, the DVD: “Animals in Watercolor”, and has been published in numerous publications including the featured artist and cover for “New Barker” magazine.
