Don’t say you “can’t” paint a portrait. Suzanna will teach you just how easy portrait painting can be. You’ll learn valuable information on what materials work best, the do’s and don’ts, and how to capture the personality and spirit through your subject’s eyes. This no-nonsense approach teaching style breaks down all skin tones into three different applications of lights, mid-tones, and darks. You will learn luminous color recipes from skin tone charts to make your painting sing. Photos and line drawings will be provided for you to practice with, following two demonstrations daily. There will be lots of individual attention and help in the class.

Suzanna has been studying and painting faces since 1994. She recently produced her first instructional DVD, and has been featured in many prominent art publications and is currently writing her first book. She has won numerous awards and many were “Best in Show”. She is a Signature member of the Florida Watercolor Society, the Southern Watercolor Society, and Watercolor West.
