Expand your artistic repertoire and broaden your perception as you discover an innovative, alternative approach to painting! Learn how to work in the negative to create paintings with simple repeated shapes and watercolor glazes. As the workshop progresses, the projects become more complex and focus on interpretive underpaintings and building layers with overlapping negative shapes. This course is tailored to suit all levels and will cover a variety of subject matter including florals and landscapes.

Linda comes to us from Canada. She is an elected member of the CSPWC, OSA, SCA, and SAA (hon). Her internationally recognized painting concepts are the focus of her book and video, “Watercolor-Painting Outside the Lines-A Positive Approach to Negative Painting.” Her work and articles have been featured in 5 additional books and in numerous art publications. Participants can expect an inspiring and creative atmosphere with an instructor who truly cares about helping students achieve their artistic goals.
