Skip is not an impressionist.  He doesn’t look for cursory impressions, but gazes intensely for the soul of the subject.  Enriched color delivers the emotional content of his works, whether landscape, interior, or figure.  Most of his paintings are not of specific places, but are universal expressions of things both seen and imagined. In this workshop, you will explore surface variations by layering of color and texture to personalize your images of figures, flowers, abstracts, and landscapes.  Watercolors or acrylics work equally well for this class.  Through demonstrations, slide programs, painting time, and critiques, Skip will help you find your own personal style and achieve unique works of art.  Bring your imagination and a desire to find your honest painting style.
