Charles is the author of “Acrylics: The Watercolor Alternative” published by Northlight Books. He also has a DVD with the same title. Charles also has a brand new DVD, “Acrylic Landscapes the Watercolor Way”. He is a Signature member of the American Watercolor Society and the International Society of Acrylic Painters. He earned 2 degrees in architecture from the University of Arkansas and spent 15 years as a practicing architectural designer and illustrator. He then earned a Master of Architecture degree from Oklahoma State University. Charles taught art, architecture, and watermedia painting for 23 years before leaving Louisiana Tech in 2003 to pursue fine art full time. He now devotes his time to painting, writing, and conducting painting workshops.
