Supports :

  • One sheet 300 lb. cold press w.c. paper cut in 1/2. One stretched canvas (any size workable in classroom). Several pieces of scrap illustration board, or white mat board to be used for sample techniques. Two sheets of Illustration board (medium weight). Each sheet cut into 1/2 pieces (bring more if your paint fast). Blotter Paper- Heavyweight, unsized, 19"x24", 3 sheets.

Paints:

  • FW Acrylic Inks- Several colors you desire (maybe one irridescent)
  • Golden Liquid Acrylic Paints (1 fluid oz. bottles) any colors or any acrylic paints if you already have them.
  • Acrylic Matte Medium, Arylic Gel Medium and Acrylic Gesso. (8oz. sizes)

Other Materials :

  • Art Tissue- One package, WHITE ONLY!
  • Acrylic Brushes- one inch and two inch flats, and #7, #8 rounds
  • Elmers glue smallest bottle, masking tape, paper towels, several plastic spoons, sissors, 1" plastic putty knife.
  • Sketchbook and a felt tip marker. (about 8x10 size book)
  • Rubber Gloves- 1 pkg white laytex THIN...come in sm. med. and lg.
  • Water Container and 3 small plastic containers with lid. (margarine containers work well for the small containers.)
  • Palette (paper, or you can use freezer paper (comes in roll-Wal-mart)
  • Landscape photos (several)
  • *Specialty papers will be available for purchase from the instructor during class.
