In “Small Paintings...Big Results” artist Carol Cooper takes the viewer through the basic watercolor techniques required to paint flowers, a landscape, a cityscape and a winter scene. In her new DVD, Cooper lets the artist know that watercolor is an acquired skill which, with practice, will grow and improve. Her goals are to help the beginning artist develop passion and imagination with an eye towards creating art that is interpretative rather than just reporting what one sees. During the course of the four lessons, Cooper covers 5 different watercolor techniques: flat, graded and varigated washes; wet on dry; wet in wet; glazing and dry brush techniques. 76 minute art instruction video. Carol Cooper is an innovative artist and a creative master teacher with over 25 years experience. Her award-winning artwork is eclectic in both style and subject matter. Cooper has participated in over 40 group and solo exhibitions including Watercolor USA at the Springfield Art Museum in Springfield, Missouri. Her work is in private and corporate collections around the world. Beyond her art degrees, Carol has studied watercolor with many renowned watercolorists across the country and abroad.
