Walker Display System
This unique system allows you to hang and arrange all types and sizes of artwork practically anywhere…without the holes! Hang your framed, matted, and canvas works of art from moldings at eye or ceiling level. Just follow these four easy steps in choosing the hardware that fits your need.
Step 1
Choose from two Moldings to fit your décor; aluminum for a contemporary style or wood for a traditional look. Both moldings are sold in 8 ft. lengths only and can be mounted at any height; ceiling height is perfect for hanging all sizes of artwork, or at eye level which is great for smaller works of art.
Aluminum molding measures 1” on the face and 3/8” from the wall with hidden fasteners. Available in five finishes: Aluminum (unfinished), Gray (painted), Bronze (painted), White (painted), or Bright Brass (Anodized).
Wood molding is crafted of solid, kiln dried poplar and will accept paint or stain to accent your decor.
Step 2
Use the Rod Sleeves for hanging the rods from your chosen molding. They come in five finishes: Silver, Gray, Bronze, White and Bright Brass.
Lock-On Rod Sleeve - easily secures a rod to the molding without the use of tools and quickly adjusts for maximum flexibility for re-positioning.
Ogee Rod Sleeve - hooks directly over the wood molding. This sleeve hugs the contour of the wood molding so artwork lies flat against the wall.
Rod Connectors join two rods together for added length.
Step 3
Choose a Rod or Cable to suit your need. All rods are ¼”square and may be painted to match your wall color. All rods can be used in conjunction with any of the rod sleeves and the rod/sleeve combination can be used interchangeably and adjustably with the Hooks and Holders. There are four Rod styles:
Kleer-Vu rod (clear acrylic)- recommended use with flat art work due to their flexibility.
Steel rod (silver)- should be used for heavier artwork if bowing is a concern.
Fiberglass rods- available in White, Bronze or Gray solid matte finishes.
Bright Brass Aluminum- use with Bright Brass Molding, Lock-On Rod Sleeve or Ogee Rod Sleeve for a special look. Available in 4’ and 6’ lengths only.
Stainless Steel Cable- a slim 1/16” in diameter. Available in 4’ and 6’ lengths only.
Rod Connectors - join two rods together for added length.
Step 4
There are a variety of picture Hooks and Holders to choose from that are used in conjunction with the moldings, rod sleeves and rods/cable, all designed for your specific need.
Hi-Holder- designed for the hanging wire on most artwork. They hold the wire tight against the rod, the picture against the wall and a 5” width ensures the picture will stay level.
Double Hi-Holder- works like the Hi-Holder allowing for back-to-back hanging in open areas and display windows.
Hi-Hooks- use to hang smaller frames with the “sawtooth” bracket.
Cable Hooks- specially designed for use with the Stainless Steel Cable only. Great for smaller pictures with wire or when multiple hangings from the same cable is desired.
Cable Adapter- allows use of the Walker Display System hooks and holders when hanging with cable.
Panel and Mat Holders- support the bottom and top edges of panels, mats and framed boards.
Framed Hooks- fits between the frame and the matting. The 3/8” Frame Hook is for metal frames, while the 7/8” Frame Hook holds most wood canvas stretchers. Note: Two Rods and two Frame Hooks are needed to hang large frames or canvases.
