If you think the sparkle of crystal is absolutely arresting, but way beyond your skills as an artist…think again! Learn to paint the dazzle of crystal, the glow of glass, colorful shadows, reflections, and refracted light in this exciting workshop. With simple techniques and step by step demonstrations, you’ll start creating stunning pieces almost immediately. Joyce will break down and simplify the steps using her dark to light technique. All students will leave the workshop with a completed painting and the confidence and knowledge of how to achieve a great painting.

Joyce Faulknor

While studying at Academy of Art University in San Francisco, Joyce discovered watercolors and right away knew that the medium was perfect for her and began to focus her attention on painting and teaching. In 1991, Joyce founded the Emerald Lake Art Academy in Redwood City, CA and taught there for 10 years. In 2001 she began teaching at the national level. She has since written several articles for “American Art” and “Watercolor Magic” magazines and has been published in “Splash 8” and “Splash 10”. Joyce is the author of the instructional book: Stunning Crystal and Glass which was the North Light Book Club’s main selection in Oct. 2006. She has also produced a companion DVD with the same title. Joyce travels all over the US teaching her unique style of painting and is co-host of “Art 2 Art”, an instructional program for TV.
