Go beyond the level of just recording facts and explore a series of traditional and innovative approaches to watercolor painting. Exercises, lectures, and demonstrations will allow each individual to understand how to develop a painting that reinforces the basic elements and principles of design. Some of the different concepts that will be introduced include: underglazes, negative painting, vignetting, painting surfaces, and many other theories of thought. Emphasis will also be placed on how to control the media in a very expressive matter.

Frederick Graff

Fred is one of the foremost watercolor instructors of today and is a signature member of all three major watercolor societies: American Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, and Transparent Watercolor Society of America "Master Status". He has received over 85 national, regional and state awards of recognition. He received his BS in Art Education at Miami University and has since been conducting numerous watercolor workshops throughout the US and abroad for the last 40 years. His work has been featured in Watercolor Techniques for Releasing the Creative Spirit, Creative Watercolor Workshop, and "International Artist", in addition to other publications.
