Learn how to make your work come alive with vibrant color and rich darks. You'll learn techniques to make reflective surfaces appear to shine. Learn, not only how to compose your work to draw the viewer in, but also how to use a sense of depth to hold the viewer's interest. Beginners and advanced painters alike will gain a new understanding of achieving a sense of visual depth. Lessons can be applied to any painting style or skill level. You'll be asked to bring a watercolor painting you have done, and feel is too "flat", and on day five, you'll have the opportunity to rework it using your newly acquired skills. You'll be amazed at the new levels of dimension you create!

Laurie Humble

Laurie is the author of the best-selling North Light book, Watercolor Depth and Realism. Her paintings have appeared in over 50 national and international exhibitions, winning numerous awards. She holds signature memberships in nine art and watercolor societies, and a BS of Fine Arts from Texas State University. She conducts workshops across the US, Internationally, and on the internet. Laurie has a 2-DVD series, Secrets in Watercolor and three other instructional DVDs. Her work has been featured in several prominent publications such as "American Artist", "Southwest Art", "International Artist", and Splash 10, and was the cover artist for the October 2008 issue of "Watercolor Artist". Her paintings are included in private and permanent collections across the country.
