Go beyond merely copying your subject, and paint from the heart. Learn how to create painterly and believable watercolors. In this workshop, you'll learn about light, color, the way watercolor behaves, dark values, painting reflections, and much, much more. The goal of the workshop is to encourage each artist to advance to their own vision and gain the skills necessary to communicate in watercolor. Each day, Steve will demonstrate both mini and full size paintings, and there will be plenty of student painting time and personal help will be available.

Steve Rogers

Steve's paintings have won hundreds of awards in juried competitions including the National Watercolor Society Purchase Award, "Best of Show" in 2006, and four awards in the American Watercolor Society. He is a Signature member of the American Watercolor Society and was an Ambassador/Director of AWS, and is also a Signature member of the National Watercolor Society. He was the National invited Juror for the 2007 AWS exhibition and Chairman of the Jury of Awards for the 2010 AWS exhibition. Steve's works has been featured in "Watercolor Magazine"," Watercolor Magic", and" International Artist", as well as many other books and publications, and two best-selling DVDs (7 Secrets of Painting Reflections in Watercolor, and The Secrets of Painting Light and Shadow in Watercolor.)
