Kristy is a graduate of Purdue University with both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in education as well as a life license in teaching. She has taught over 200 workshops nationwide for students of all ages. Her instructional book, Drawing and Painting with Colored Pencil has been featured as a main selection for the North Light Book Club. She is also a contributor to several other books and publications, including being featured in the French Magazine, "Pratique Des Arts". She also produced an instructional DVD, Colored Pencil Landscapes: Beyond the Basics. Her teaching style is friendly, relaxed, enthusiastic, and supportive of the individual student's personal style.
