Our friend Dick Ensing put them to the test about 2 years ago 2007 and he still has the set of Flat Serendipity still in very good condition..2009 , Dick is very hard on brushes as he does a lot of scumbling with the brush (scumbling is a technique where you hold the brush by the shank and you scumble in paint using the flat side of the brush and this pushes the paint very rigidly into the canvas..this technique is very hard on brushes ):
The brushes have held up to this rigorous painting technique and the hairs in the brush do not separate or come out. I am very well pleased with these brushes and continue to paint with them.
