Winsor & Newton Dammar Varnish is a pale yellow oil painting varnish that dries quickly to a protective clear layer with a high gloss for use on paintings, prints or drawings. Like any varnish, make absolutely sure that your oil painting has had adequate time to dry before application. Dammar Varnish does prevent damage to your artwork by protecting against exposure to dust and dirt. This product does darken with age, so please be advised before use. Dammar Varnish is hazardous, so read the label carefully prior to use. In addition, this product is flammable, so no smoking while painting or use by an open flame. This product is available from Cheap Joe’s, your source for oil paint, in a 75ml., 250ml., 500ml. bottles or an aerosol spray. Make sure that Dammar Varnish is part of your personal oil paint supply!
