The Allerair Filter 5000 Exec Carbon is a non-off-gassing metal canister with inner and outer anti-microbial wraps holds 18 lbs. of activated carbon (2.5" thick). Traps airborne chemicals, gasses and mold spores, and neutralizes odors. Easy installation (instructions provided). Replace carbon filter every 2-5* yrs (depends on chemical or odor levels) For artists, this could be significantly less depending. A good idea of when to replace carbon filters is if odors are stronger then they once were it most likely means that the carbon filter is saturated. Please note that Carbon spoils after 5 years, but is usually saturated after 2 1/2 years maximum. So carbon filters can last 5 years, but they will not be very effective. Instructions included.
