This fiber brush is for use with Claybord panels, especially the black Clayboard. Black Clayboard is more commonly known as scratchboard. The Fiber Brush for Clayboard is used to make scratches in the black surface to reveal the white color underneath. It is also great for softening edges that have gotten a little too hard used for creating gradual tonal values or crisp edges. The Fiber Brush is fashioned out of fiberglass so that the pigment can be removed leaving soft edges. Use a soft brush to remove the dust because the fibers can cause skin irritation. Add one to your art supplies whether you enjoy scratchboard or not, you never know how something new in your art supply can come in handy.
