A $1.00 Donation to our Brushes For Vincent Program. What Is Brushes for? Cheap Joe’s Art Stuff™ has a program near and dear to our hearts. It’s called... Brushes for Vincent.
Especially geared towards budding artists, Brushes for Vincent encourages any children’s non-profit organization or children’s charitable group to make annual written requests to receive free art stuff to benefit less fortunate children. Why Brushes for Vincent? Who hasn’t heard of Vincent van Gogh? But do you know his story? Vincent wouldn’t be famous today if it weren’t for his younger brother, Theo.
Theo van Gogh supported Vincent during the dark times when there wasn’t enough money to pay the rent or buy food. Along with love and understanding (and, yes, rent money, too) Vincent also received art supplies from his brother. These brushes, paints and canvas allowed Vincent to continue to paint what are now world reknown masterpieces. Check out page 289 for Joe’s DVD, “With a Warm Handshake”, about the life of Vincent. So, why give? Would you like to make a monetary donation?
