Did you know that watercolors on Claybord Textured can be sealed with Claybord Fixative and displayed without glass? This incredible clay-coated claybord panel simulates the absorbency and texture of cold pressed paper but with some major advantages over paper! Colors on Claybord Textured are much more rich & vibrant! This re-workable surface provides the ability to lift color while the surface is wet or dry to create natural looking highlights, transparent subtle layers and fluid glazes. The panels are available flat for framing in a traditional frame (without glass of course!) and with the 1/8’’ DEEP cradle which needs no additional framing. These archival prepared Clayboard cradled panels will not bend, tear, or yellow like other art supplies. This Claybord Textured 1/8’’ panel measures 9’’ x 12’’.
