I can truthfully say this impressive,practical kit is my choice for a miniature travel studio. You will surely be the envy of every travelling artist! The two stainless steel water flasks and two collapsible cups hold 1.5 oz. of water each. I've also included a 4" x 6" Kilimanjaro Watercolor Block, a mini 12-well stainless steel palette with sponge, and a sable travel brush. All this is encased in a handsome leather case with carry strap and a magnetic snap and zipper closure.- Joe. Measures 6.5" x 5.5' x 2". Paints not included.

I was thrilled to get this for Christmas. It has everything I need and is easy to carry. I love that it has no plastic except the paint wells. Good job. It will be my new favorite travel set.

I got this set for Christmas like a lot of other people. I really love that it is small,compact and that it has a shoulder strap. Also it's just large enough to fit my pocket sized Handbook Journal. The cons of this set are; firstly, that the pans cannot be removed for easy cleaning and secondly the brush included is very small and is not as good of quality as a regular travel golden fleece. Finally, if I were to improve on this set, I would have made the elastic pencil holders bigger to allow for easy micron/other travel brush storage. It's really hard to get even the smallest brush to fit inside the elastic bands. All in all, this is a great set at a great price. Perfect for small trips!

I like this kit as a concept, but the zippers are just plain cheesy. One is very difficult to open and close, while the other is stuck.

I also have had trouble with the zippers, one broke trying to get it to open. Stainless bottles are high quality and very nice as are the collapsible cups. I keep a set of travelbrushes in the elastic band, but it needs two more spaces, I'd like to have a secure place for my pencil. The paint holder takes half pans. The glue didn't hold so I can easily remove it to clean (I had to scrape the glue off) If the sewn in holders were arranged differently you would be able to hold a lot more supplies. Nice size for traveling, or taking with you daily for when inspiration hits.

The brush is very poor quality. Had trouble witht the zippers but lubed them with a bar of soap and they work much better. If the case were just a bit deeper the paint pan would fit in the bottom...

I recently purchased this kit because I like the idea of leather and metal components rather than plastic. For the sale price I paid ($34.99), it is a reasonable bargain. The paint box is adorable and works nicely. I had no trouble slipping my additionally purchased CheapJoe's travel brushes into the elastic holders. I was able to also fit several drawing pens, erase, tiny sharpener, etc. The bag hangs nicely at my side. The components feel nice. That said...the zippers are a bit of an issue...BUT I discovered that soaping AND holding the top flap up slightly as you pull on the zipper pull tab helps the teeth line up properly. Then the zipper closes with no problem. You just can't man-handle it. It requires some finesse. Also, the water flasks are pretty tiny--a full one fills one of the telescoping cups up only a bit more than halfway. If you dirty up brush water like crazy, you might want to carry an extra water bottle with you. Other than those two (imho minor) items, this kit is quite sweet and I'm sure it will become my favorite "on the go" sketching setup.

I bought this set hoping it would get me sketching. It has. I love the water flasks. They fit nicely with a Pentel waterbrush. The zips are a real hassle and the brush is useless. It would be nice, too, if it was just a touch bigger for a sketchbook of reasonable size. The mixing surface in the lid of the palette was a problem, being metal. I painted it with a white paint and now it works much better. The bag is nice and solid and I have been able to keep it in my car to use when opportunity arises.

I love the idea of this set, but the zippers work very poorly. I tried soap and wax, and they still don't work.

This set would be a 5 if the zippers worked more smoothly. The SS bottles and cups are top notch and at the sale price make me think about another set.

This is a bargain. My zippers on my bag work pretty smooth. This is reminiscing of the old travel bar cases from the 40's and 50's. Love the stainless steel and quality. Think I will buy one for my brother for this Christmas
