Sludge is a by-product of the acrylic paint manufacturing process which normally would be disposed of by incineration and released into the environment. Sludge is predominantly neutral in tone as the combination of colours produced in the factory during this time period dictate its hue. Perfect for under paintings, mixed media applications, as a neutral opacifier, textural paste or a color extender. Tri-Art Sludge, Thin is available in a 500 ml. bottle.

Sludge is predominantly neutral in tone as the combination of colours produced in the factory during this time period dictate its hue. Occasionally we use off-spec or factory spills to obtain the batch colour. No two batches are alike, thus we do not assign a colour name but rather refer to each edition by their Batch#
