Blair Gloss Spray Damar Varnish is 100% pure Damar Varnish that represents the ultimate in application methods and protection for oil paintings. The fine value of Blair Gloss Spray Damar Varnish makes it possible to apply a thin, uniform film which is viewed as the most correct practice. Heavy, uneven coatings are less durable and are more suspect to decay. Blair Gloss Spray Damar Varnish will apply a protective coating adding a shine to the finished design. Be sure paint is thoroughly dry before application. The drying time of the average oil painting is 3 to 6 months. Heavy paint (impasto) takes longer while thin paint may take less than 3 months. Extremely thin layers and glazes may be varnished when dry to the touch. It is suggested that no painting be left unvarnished for more than a year unless carefully stored. Always apply varnish at room temperature in a dust free area and never under humid conditions. Contains no fluorocarbons. Lead-free. Non-yellowing.
