Each art pencil has a smooth and silky feel on the paper. Because these pencils are wax based they blend easily and produce rich color on the surface without a lot of elbow grease. But, if you want a little help in the blending department you can get a colorless blender pencil to even out those transitions. These art pencils are also waterproof and lightfast.
