Sue’s goal is to present you with as much design and color theory information as time allows, and encouraging you to take advantage of the inherent qualities of watercolor.  The objective is not to change you, but to add to your core of knowledge.  Then it is up to you to take this knowledge and apply it to the style and subject matter that suits you.  This workshop is for painters with some experience, intermediates, and as a refresher course for experienced painters.  You will learn how Sue designs her dynamic light filled paintings.  She will stress wet on wet, colorful darks, textural elements, capturing light, and using good design and color.  Topics covered are pigment qualities, negative and positive painting, saving whites, showing light, achieving colorful darks, and granulation.
