Work from sketches that Birgit provides or bring your own compositions. In this art class explore how to navigate a subject and watch it evolve into something that demands attention. Learn about how brushes make a huge difference and why water is the key to everything. Some knowledge of watercolor is most helpful.
International artist/instructor, Birgit O’Connor is known for her unique teaching abilities and her bold floral designs. She has been published in numerous national and international publications, along with being an author of two watercolor books and producer of many instructional DVD programs, online painting demonstrations, and tutorials. She is a contributing editor to The Artist’s Magazine and Watercolor Artist. Birgit has also won numerous national and international awards for her work.
Level 3 (and up): Intermediate - Assumes the student has a basic knowledge of the medium, but seeking experience and techniques. Average paced with individual help for all students.
OR: Register at least 6 months in advance and enroll in our 50/50 plan (half of the tuition at the time of registration and the other half 60 days prior to the workshop) and receive 7.5% off* of the workshop tuition.

$100 is non-refundable for all workshops, regardless of when you cancel. If you cancel your workshop at least 60 daysprior to the workshop, you will receive a refund of all money except for the $100 fee. There is NO refund, for any reason, if you cancel within 60 days of the workshop. We understand that last minute emergencies, illnesses, or conflicts come up that can't be controlled, and we are truly sorry, but due to committed expenses on the part of Cheap Joe's, we are not able to make exceptions.
The purchase of optional travel insurance is HIGHLY recommended to protect you if an unforeseen personal emergency should arise. Some credit cards, auto clubs, travel services, or online companies offer travel insurance for nonrefundable expenses. If it’s necessary for either an instructor or CJAS to cancel a workshop, you will receive a full refund of tuition, but not other related expenses.
