Daniel Smith PrimaTek Watercolors are unique paints made with authentic mineral pigments mined from the earth. They're finely processed and made into beautiful watercolors with amazing and diverse effects. Nearly all PrimaTeks have granulating properties which give them wonderful texture and depth. The PrimaTeks are gorgeous paints on their own, and they mix beautifully with other colors as well.

Sodalite Genuine - Sodalite Genuine, with a distinctive deep blue color, is one of the components of Lapis Lazuli and very rare. The inky color of this semi precious stone granulates as it dries, layering a blue-black textural surface on a smooth blue-gray undertone. Low staining, lightfast and semi-transparent, Sodalite creates a three-dimensional quality as it dries.

This is a granulating color, meaning a grainy visual texture is created when the pigment particles settle and clump together rather than settling evenly on the painted surface. Granulation is more pronounced on textured papers.
