A Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolor Sticks offer the same superior intensity as the Daniel Smith line of Extra Fine Watercolor paints with the convenience and portability of half pans. Each stick is packed with pure pigment and just enough gum arabic to form a solid stick. Watercolor sticks produce vibrant, strong color when wet, or use them dry to build texture. They're highly reactive with water and release rich, creamy colors. Ideal for sketching, developing color values, and building expressive marks, Daniel Smith Watercolor Sticks combine the best of drawing with painting. They're ideal for mixed media.

Sodalite Genuine - Sodalite Genuine, with its distinctive deep blue color, is one of the components of Lapis Lazuli and very rare. This blue is the finest quality and deepest blue that comes from both Greenland and the flanks of Italy's Mt. Vesuvius. In watercolor, the inky color of this semi-precious stone granulates as it dries, layering a blue-black textural surface on a smooth blue-gray undertone. Low staining, lightfast, and semi-transparent, Sodalite Genuine creates a three-dimensional quality as it dries.

This is a granulating color, meaning a grainy visual texture is created when the pigment particles settle and clump together rather than settling evenly on the painted surface.
