Built from solid oak for strength and aesthetics, the Kate Palmer Taboret is mounted on front-locking casters for mobility. What makes this taboret so unique is the flexibility it offers. The top work surface can slide forward so the artist can sit at it like a desk, or it can slide backward to create an extra flat work area.
The top work area can be assembled so that either side of the taboret can be the "front". The three top drawers have inner dimensions of 45"W x 17-1/2"D x 2"H. The five bottom drawers have inner dimensions of 46"W x 26"D x 2-1/2"H which will easily handle full sheets of watercolor paper. Two generously sized "cubbies" (47"W x 7-1/2"D 6-1/4"H and 47"W x 8"D x 7-1/4"H) on one side (behind the top three shelves) are great for extra storage.
The top work area features a central 27"W x 20"D melamine surface with a plexi-glass insert for easy clean up. There are also holes for a water canister, cups and brushes. The base measures 50"W ￃﾗ 28"D ￃﾗ 42-1/2"H. The front working height is 35".
Some assembly is required.
