Description

Amaco Potter's Choice Glazes were designed for anyone who would like to achieve the Cone 10 reduction effects in an electric kiln without having to have a reduction gas kiln or firing at that high temperature. These stunning glazes add fluid colors and effects to smooth or textured ware, and can be layered with each other for a wide variety of colors and surfaces.

Every glaze, except for Palladium, is dinnerware and food safe, and every color conforms to ASTM D-4236 standards. These glazes can be brushed on in layers or dipped. For optimal results, these lead-free glazes are fired at Cone 5-6 (2205ºF-2269ºF, 1207ºC-1243ºC) in an oxidation kiln. Amaco Potter's Choice Glazes are ready-to-use right out of the jar, just shake well.

Ancient Jasper - Ancient Jasper is a fluid, opaque glaze that transitions from soft black to olive green to rust red as it is applied thicker. This glaze has an active, varied surface by itself and layers with other Potter's Choice glazes with striking results.
