Description

Amaco Potter's Choice Glazes were designed for anyone who would like to achieve the Cone 10 reduction effects in an electric kiln without having to have a reduction gas kiln or firing at that high temperature. These stunning glazes add fluid colors and effects to smooth or textured ware, and can be layered with each other for a wide variety of colors and surfaces.

Every glaze, except for Palladium, is dinnerware and food safe, and every color conforms to ASTM D-4236 standards. These glazes can be brushed on in layers or dipped. For optimal results, these lead-free glazes are fired at Cone 5-6 (2205ºF-2269ºF, 1207ºC-1243ºC) in an oxidation kiln. Amaco Potter's Choice Glazes are ready-to-use right out of the jar, just shake well.

Chun Plum - Chun Plum is a pink-red translucent glaze that breaks light tan over textures. This glaze imitates the copper reds of Asia but with a reliable color response in oxidation firings. Layer over other Potter's Choice glazes for a warmer tone and hints of pink and red.
