Amate Handmade Bark Paper is great for collage, scrapbooking, card making, art projects and more. Amate papers are 100% natural tree bark that has been boiled and soaked until soft.

The bark is then pounded by hand with a stone until the pulp is spread to the desired thickness and shape, then dried in the sun. Traditionally made in natural tones only, the color and grain of the paper depends on the bark used.

Only recently have natural dyes been added to the water the bark is cooked in to provide a more colorful variety of paper.

Each sheet of Amate Handmade Bark paper measures 15-1/2" x 23-1/2".
