The oil-based lead lays down buttery soft, and layers and blends beautifully, without the wax-bloom of other brands. The thick 3.8 mm leads and cedar casing are securely bonded to prevent breakage, so you can keep a nice sharp point and won’t have trouble with crumbling tips. Pencils come presharpened, and are color coordinated with other Faber-Castell products.
