Grumbacher Pre-tested Professional Oil Paint, Chromium Oxide Green, is made with pure pigments milled in alkali-refined linseed oil. Chromium Oxide Green is a dense, completely opaque mid-range Green of medium saturation. This oil paint is compared with other Greens and masstone appears dull. However, Chromium Oxide Green is extremely versatile in color mixtures. In use since 1840, this oil paint is indispensable for depicting foliage and grass in landscape painting and for toning down European Flesh tones in portraiture. Formulated from Anhydrous Chromium Sesquioxide (Pg17).
