Khadi Handmade Papers are made in India from 100% cotton rag and are works of art in themselves! Their textured white surface and 4 deeply deckled edges will impart a unique character to your paintings and drawings. Each acid-free sheet is both internally sized with neutral pH size and tub sized (surface sized) with gelatin, resulting in a durable surface that lets color flow beautifully. No two sheets look alike, which is the beauty of handmade paper.
Suitable for watercolor and all painting and drawing media. For oil painting, prime first with acrylic gesso. Available in cold press and rough textures.
Rough Press - Rough finish paper has an effect close to that of handmade paper, with a strongly pronounced tooth that naturally shows lots of texture in painting and highlights the effects of granulating colors. It's ideally suited for bold, expressive techniques rather than detail. Rough Press is also recommended for acrylics, pastel, and charcoal.
