Creative tearing and paint splashing start off this Abstract Acrylic Painting and Collage online interactive workshop. Loosen up and learn how to begin a new fresh body of work with your own artistic voice and point of view. Think "artist retreat," producing a body of work or a series of paintings, or your conceptual solo show. With his demos and lectures, Robert Burridge will help and guide you to paint the way you have always wanted to paint. Daily, you can expect warmup paint sketching, brief painting and lecture demos, constructive critiques, and time to work on personal projects.
About a week before the workshop, we will email enrolled students with handouts and assignments to prepare for the workshop. All levels of students are welcome.
This online painting class will be taught using the Zoom platform. Cheap Joe's will record the workshop and upload it to our YouTube channel. Enrolled/participating students only will have unlimited lifetime access to the video following the workshop. Students will receive more specific and log-in information by email prior to the live event.

Pre-class instructions and/or specific details will be emailed 1 week prior to the workshop.
Level 2 (and up) - Beginner-Intermediate: Reviews basic techniques for beginners as needed, and offers practice exercises at an average pace to assist in gaining confidence and experience with the medium. Assistance is given to all.
Robert Burridge is a noted award-winning Industrial Designer who, after 25 years in the corporate world, decided instead to focus his life on painting every day. Burridge attributes his success to his education from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, his stint as an adjunct professor at Cooper Union in New York City, and in 1966, his Fluxus art performances with Yoko Ono, Nam June Paik, Jim McWilliams, and Charlotte Moorman. His work hangs in the permanent collections of international embassies, corporate galleries, and art colleges. Because his solo museum exhibitions received positive attention, he was invited to exhibit his paintings at the Smithsonian Folklife Circus Arts Festival in Washington, DC.
Cancellation Policy - By completing your registration transaction, you are agreeing to accept the following cancellation policy: A $30 cancellation fee applies if you cancel at least 1 week in advance. There is NO refund for any reason if you cancel within 1 week prior to or during the class. There are no refunds for missed sessions or no-shows. Sorry, no transfers. If the instructor allows the workshop to be recorded, the videos of the class are only available to enrolled, participating students. No-shows or missing more than one session without prior notification will not receive the link to the recorded videos. If Cheap Joe's or the instructor cancels the class, you will receive a full refund of tuition, but not other related expenses. To avoid delays in processing and shipping, please do not put supply orders on the same order as the workshop registration.
