Platinum Preppy Fountain Pens
Quick Overview
Starting at $4.89
The Platinum Preppy Fountain Pen is a fantastic beginner's fountain pen due to its smooth writing quality and low price. It's a no-fuss pen with a plastic body but it feels fancier, elevating your everyday writing and drawing. The stainless steel nib glides along your paper and refills are a breeze with Platinum replacement cartridges. You can even turn the barrel into an eyedropper pen for maximum ink capacity by filling it with ink and adding petroleum jelly to the threads.
One ink cartridge is included. This ink is not waterproof but Platinum Carbon Black Ink Cartridges, sold separately, are ideal for this pen if you prefer a waterproof black ink. Or use a converter cartridge (sold separately) filled with your own favorite ink.
Available in 3 nib sizes for various line widths: Extra Fine 02 (.3 mm), Fine 03 (.35 mm), and Medium 05 (.45 mm).
Extra Fine Nib - The Preppy Fountain Pen Extra Fine 02 Nib produces a delicate, super fine line width of .03 mm.
Fine Nib - The Preppy Fountain Pen Fine 03 Nib produces a smooth writing, fine line width of .35 mm.
Medium Nib - The Preppy Fountain Pen Medium 05 Nib produces a bold, smooth writing line width of .45 mm.
