Schmincke Horadam Aquarell Super Granulating Watercolors are fantastically fun for their gorgeous, organic effects. The surface effect of these special shades is that heavier pigment particles settle down into the paper indentations while the lighter pigment particles float above, giving a textured two-tone color effect that can be either subtle or pronounced. The rougher the paper, the greater the granulating effect. Each color series is inspired by the hues, textures, and awe of our natural world.

Please Note - For best results, add a drop of water on each dot of paint and allow to sit for a few minutes before painting. Super Granulating colors need a little more water and saturation to show their beautiful effect. The effect shows best on wet paper.
